A GMC Electric Monster is Born
The GMC Hummer EV , an electric beast in the form of a pick up , with 1,000 horsepower (still estimated) that will cost around $112,000 dollars and will be a very tough enemy for Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck (which, let’s not forget, is still in the embryonic stage).
GMC Hummer EV Cost and Release Date
The GMC Hummer will hit the US market in late fall 2021 or early 2022 and, in fact, it can already be reserved on the GMC (General Motors brand) website by making a reservation of $ 100. In addition, it can be charged at very high powers, since it supports up to 350 kW that would allow it to recover, in just 10 minutes, enough energy to travel an additional 100 kilometers.

A quick look at the whole of the car transports us to the classic Hummers in terms of their ‘square’ proportions and their XXL size , but also to the future, especially when we see its illuminated grill (with the six classic Hummer columns) that includes animations in the headlights for recharging tasks. But there are some more curious details. The unit shown for the presentation featured a lunar inspiration (a ‘copy’ of Tesla’s relationship with space by Elon Musk’s Space X company?). The colors of the GMC Hummer EV are inspired by the landscape of our satellite and in the interior there are more relation to it. For example, the floor mats are engraved with Neil Armstrong’s footprint and the cover that covers the front speakers is decorated with a map of the Sea of Tranquility , where Apollo XI landed in 1969.

The 2022 GMC Hummer EV SUV will have so many specs that is best to go directly to GMC’s website because they keep adding on and changing things. While you’re at it reserve the SUV so you can have a better chance of buying one when it becomes available. At this point some people wonder how much is the new electric hummer ev actually going to cost because some dealers are waiting to tack on dealer fees like they did on the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Cost which its MSRP is only around US$75,000 with a carbon fiber track package with painted racing stripes and a custom exterior color runs buyers $28,500 so bring it to a total of around US$100,000 but dealers have added about 100,000 in dealer markup and overhead bringing the price close to 200,000.
